U.F.O. I personally discovered this group in 1972 when I bought the lp "Flying". And what a flight it was. Later the same year they issued another album, their third , and even though it was more MOR, it was also still a fantastic piece of work. It was also a clear peak in a new direction for the band which turned them from obscurity to the headlines. And it is from this periode most musicknowers know them, and wrongly turned them down as just another Hard Rock Band. What have they missed. Hours of great music and enjoyable moments. Lucky were we who discovered them in their psychedelic years. The easiest way to describe the groups earliest years is to compare them with Pink Floyd, with and after Syd Barret. Very different, but genius all the way. Here are some of the seven inches with PS that I've collected through the years.
