RAVEYARD PARADISE
Let me ask you, if you're not from Norway, what do you know about norwegian music? Of course, you have heard of A-ha and....... and no one else. Maybe some of you have heard of Titanic which had a worldwide Hit with "Sultana", and there is of course a couple which are familar with the great LPs that Aunt Mary served the world. But that's not much, is it?
However there have been groups in Norway back in the 60's and 70's which had deserved a bigger audience throughout the world.
Never late than ever. Here are some of some singles which should be included in any serious norwegian-vinyl-freak-recordcollection. If you find any of these I'll guess it's on an auction, so be prepared to get competition.

| 1 2 6 - "Graveyard Paradise" / "Wake Uo Johnny" (RCA ) Graveyard Paradise was once voted to be the best popsong ever made by a norwegian artist. Absolutely not a bad choice. Both the melody and lyrics are of the kind you don't forget. | THE FIREBEATS - "Let Me Tell You" / "Little Girl" (HMV )The best, rarest and maybe the most valuable norwegian beat single ever issued. To not included this one on the second Nuggets Box, is the same as dropping Beatles out of a Merseyside compilation | MOJO BLUES - "Land Of A 1000 Dances" / "Let It Be Me" (Philips |
MODMEN SECT - She's Gone / Was it Me (MANU MA-144) Tuff guitarsound, great beat good vocal, but the english could have been slightly better. The B-side was included on the famous Raveyard Paradise compilation 2LP. |

Ebb Tide was their biggest Hit. | Another Hit by these four guys from Tromsø. | THE MISSING LINKS - "Movin" / "My Oh My" (Philips ) A lot of countries had their Missing Links. Maybe we had the best? A very much sought after single. |
Green Onions - Talkin' About You / My First Girl (MANU MA-133) 1966 - Everybody know the song. Very few know this great group. |

|
PRUDENCE - "Kom bli med til København" / "Into The Fire" (Experience EP 3001) 1970This is an early stumbling try from a group which should be very popular. Later they broke through with a unique sound. Guitars combined with accordian was not the most usual setting in the 70's. This one also contains a Deep Purple song on the B-side |
